Wondering which style of float is best for you?
Our "tube" or "barrel" floats are welded of heavy gauge aluminum and come with 12 inches of chain for plenty of adjustment. Their rounded design makes it more difficult for animals to bite the float. Different Grades of aluminum are available for the 6" x 12" barrel float ONLY. Click here to look at all our sizes we have available.
Pan floats offer easy water level adjustment with a carabiner clip on top of your float or a lock collar. You will no longer have to stick your hand in the freezing cold water to adjust your chain length. Available with 3/8" or 7/8" center tubes for a rod or chain. The 3/8" center tube with a pigtail rod and lock collar are ideal for warmer climates. The 7/8" center tube float comes with 24" of zinc or stainless steel chain. Click here to see all our sizes available.
However your water is coming into your tank we have you covered!
If you are coming in over the side of your tank we have multiple side mount kits available.
If you are interested in any of these set ups please click here for the complete kit with a 3/4" valve and 6" x 12" barrel float. If the pan float style with all stainless fittings fit your needs better click here. If you would just like the side mount kit please click here
If you are coming in from the middle of your tire tank you can attach our valve directly to your inlet pipe. We recommend using brass or stainless steel pipe and staying away from PVC pipe and galvanized pipe as much as possible. Depending on the type of water pressure you have our valve can flex the PVC pipe so the valve will not seal properly. Galvanized pipe will work but will eventually corrode. We carry 3/4" x 12" stainless steel nipples and 1" x 12" stainless steel nipples. Click here to see those.
We also carry riser kits that eliminate the need to solder the inlet pipe. The riser kit comes with a galvanized nipple, 2 galvanized nuts, 2 galvanized washers and 2 rubber washers. The riser kits can also be used for overflow into additional tanks. We also have stainless steel nipples available for more corrosive environments.
We have 1/2" up to 2" available with the galvanized nipple, click here for those.
We have 3/4" up to 1-1/4" available with the stainless nipple, click here for those.
Knowing your water pressure will help us set you up with the correct float valve set up.
Other sizes of floats are available these are just our most popular. Our 6" x 6" barrel float can shut off up to 45 p.s.i. with our standard valve and we do not recommend it with the high volume valve. Our 8" x 4" pan float can shut off up to 60 p.s.i. and not recommended for high volume valves. Both these floats are ideal for smaller tanks with a little lower pressure where you don't have room for one of our bigger floats.
The 12" x 6" pan float with one of our standard valves will shut off up to 180 p.s.i. and up to 60 p.s.i. with our high volume valves.
If you have electrolysis or copper sulfate in your water our stainless steel valves would be your best option. We have different options depending on the severity of the corrosive water.

Cold weather is here—are you tired of breaking ice on your water tank?
The Watson Float and Valve, paired with either a Watson Bleeder Valve or Micro Sweeper, provides an effective cold-weather solution to keep water accessible all winter.
The Watson Bleeder Valve is a durable brass bleeder with a stainless steel spring that maintains a consistent flow of water during winter conditions, helping prevent ice formation. The Micro Sweeper offers a more water-efficient option, automatically activating at 41°F and shutting off at 42°F. Its thermal-sensing valve releases only the amount of water needed based on water temperature, reducing unnecessary water use compared to a constant-flow system.
Both options are designed to keep water open and accessible for livestock throughout the colder months. For added flexibility, the Watson Bleeder Valve can be paired with the Micro Sweeper and you can shut them off when additional water flow is not needed.

There may be a few things that could be causing this so here is a list of what to look for before placing an order for a brand new set up.
NEW Poppet Washer
If you have had your valve for a year or so with no issues then one day it just starts leaking most likely you just need a new washer for your poppet. We have had some customers that don't have this problem for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years and others that it only lasts a year. It depends on the type of water coming into your tank, water pressure and what minerals your water has in it. Once the washer gets to hard it will not give you a good seal. Luckily, this is a cheap fix and we can get them in the mail to you right away! Click here for the link on our washers and there is a video on how to take the poppet apart as well!
NEW Valve Seat
If you see some pitting and/or grooves on the top of your brass seat this will cause your valve not to seal properly. If the grooves are not too deep you can take a file and gently smooth them and fix it for a short time. We have stainless steel seats available for this issue. Click here to purchase just the valve body with a brass or stainless steel seat. (This will NOT come with a poppet or lever)
NEW lever
If your lever is no longer rounded where it hits the poppet, it will not allow the poppet to seal properly. We now have a dual life lever (for standard valves only) so when this happens you can just flip the lever over and keep using it! Click here to see the lever options.
